Vikrant parked behind the Dzire. He really got out. He really walked to the driver's window with the specific, measured walk of a man who had been trained to approach vehicles and who understood that the walk was the first communication — the pace, the posture, the deliberate visibility of the uniform and the stars and the authority they represented.
